That's the reason the symbolism I have chosen in this collection are a combination of Birds specifically Dove due to its significance of pure maternal kind of love and protective spirit, symbolism of nurturing. In fact, doves are commonly considered a symbol of motherhood…It giveS the sense of kind of love that turns a blind eye to the typical foibles and downfalls of mankind - and sees right into the heart of pure potential that is revealed only by viewing the soul through the lenses of love.
As a love symbol, the dove conveys a higher admiration for the true value of unconditional love.

Butterfly as a symbol of transformation because of its impressive process of metamorphosis. From egg, to larvae (caterpillar), to pupa (the cocoon) and from the cocoon the butterfly emerges in her unfurling glory.
Being such a tiny creature what a massive amount of transition this tiny creature undergoes and imagine the kind of energy this expends. Herein lies the deepest symbolic lesson of the butterfly. She asks us to accept the changes in our lives as casually as she does. The butterfly unquestioningly embraces the changes of her environment and her body.
Butterfly’s ability to transform into such a beautiful being from just nothing signifies the ability to transform and evolve for every being…

The "dream-catcher", hung above the bed, is used as a charm to protect sleeping people, usually children, from nightmares.
There’s an old Native belief that a dreamcatcher changes a person's dreams. Dreamcatcher’s significance is of protection we ask towards keeping our soul and true spirit from the acts we see against humanity and ourselves According to Konrad J. Kaweczynski, "Only good dreams would be allowed to filter through... Bad dreams would stay in the net, disappearing with the light of day."[5] Good dreams would pass through and slide down the feathers to the sleeper.
The shape of the dreamcatcher is a circle because it represents how giizis – the sun, moon, month – travel each day across the sky.[6] There is meaning to every part of the dreamcatcher from the hoop to the beads embedded in the webbing.

And flowers to me are the essence of life and Joy..their colors and fragrance fill the air with love , peace and absolutely blissfull Joy. And then there are small hints within these elements for people to notice and figure out. After all this is where the true meaning of Beauty Beyond Obvious will get transformed into reality through the collection. I’m absolutely sure every Native woman will be able to find that beauty in each pc she owns from this collection, coz She herself as well is NATIVE’s Beauty Beyond Obvious.
